Twyford Charities Together

Twyford Charities Together

Twyford Charities Together (TCT) is a consortium of six local charities. The group was formed in 2011 to give local charities, often lacking their own fundraising team, a helping hand.

Which charities do you support?

We work with Daisy’s Dream, Age Concern Twyford and District, Building for the Future, ARC, Camp Mohawk and Twyford District Youth and Community Centre.

What do each of the charities do?

Daisy’s Dream assists children and their families who have been affected by a life-threatening illness or bereavement of someone close to them. Age Concern Twyford and District helps elderly residents to maintain their quality of life. Building for the Future provides activities, support and therapy for children with disabilities and/or additional needs and their families. ARC offers a free and confidential counselling service to young people. Camp Mohawk provides a range of activities, facilities and natural space to encourage children with a variety of special needs to play, socialise and learn. Finally, Twyford District Youth and Community Centre s managed by a group of trustees on behalf of the local community and for the benefit of young people in the area.

How do you fundraise?

Fundraising mostly takes place at our events. For instance, our annual Twyford Together Charity 5K and Fun Run, TwyFest and Twyford Wildlife Safari.

How much have you raised?

Over the years, Twyford Together has raised tens of thousands of pounds on behalf of Twyford Charities Together.

“It’s a wonderful initiative. It’s been really great fun meeting all the other charities and working together.”
Jane Holmes, Building for the Future
