It’s time to celebrate those individuals, groups and businesses who go the extra mile in our village. Check out our Facebook page to find out who has made it onto the shortlist. The winners will be announced at tonight’s ceremony at The Royal Oak.

What are the categories?

  • Business of the Year (award sponsored by Grapevine Estate Agents)
    Which local company or small business goes out of its way to support the community, whether a shop, tradesperson, service provider or hidden business?
  • Food and Drink Award (award sponsored by Benedict Charles Financial Planning)
    A local café, pub, restaurant or take-away where you consistently enjoy helpful service with a smile.
  • Young Achiever of the Year (award sponsored by Ideal Branding)
    A young person aged 11 to 25 who has done something extraordinary in the local community.
  • Community Group of the Year (award sponsored by Goodall-Smith Wealth Management)
    What makes your favourite club, society, church or other interest group the best?
  • Teacher of the Year (award sponsored by Rural Pie Co.
    That special teacher, TA or tutor who goes above and beyond to get the best out of others.
  • Charity of the Year
    Which charity deserves particular recognition for their tireless work in our local community?
  • Go Green Together Award (award sponsored by RG10 Magazine)
    An individual or initiative dedicated to improving our local environment, whether through protecting the natural world, enhancing public spaces or educating others.
  • Sports Person of the Year (award sponsored by The Kitchen and Bathroom Place)
    Someone who has been championing, coaching or performing sport or fitness activities for the community.
  • TPC Citizen of the Year
    Voting for this award closed on 1 December. Twyford Parish Council will announce the winner at our awards ceremony.

How do I nominate?

Nominations have now closed.

What happens after nominating closes?

A panel of independent judges representing different sectors of the community will compile a shortlist over the coming weeks.

How will the winners be announced?

Finalists will be invited to an awards ceremony and winners will be announced on the night.
