The 1st Twyford Scouts Donkey Derby is a firm fixture on the village calendar and now in its 28th year. This time around, it coincides with Father’s Day. So, to mark the occasion, they’ll be an opportunity to name a Donkey after your dad! What’s more, if you’re a local organisation, business or charity, you might like to advertise in the programme, sponsor a race or book a pitch…
The Donkey Derby draws over 3000 people each year. It presents a great opportunity to raise your business’ profile and get involved in the community. To advertise or sponsor a race, contact John March on 0118 934 0584 or e-mail johnmarch58@btinternet.com. The deadline is 1 May, 2022.
Sunday 18 June at King George’s Field. Gates open at 12:30pm, the first race is at 1:30pm and the event winds down at 5pm.
Entry is free.
Aside from the donkey races, there’ll be a wide range of stalls supporting local organisations, charities and businesses, beverages and homemade cakes from the refreshment tents, the scouts’ BBQ, Maidenhead Concert Band and all the fun of the travelling fair.
