Most businesses responded positively in regard to the Government Coronavirus Business Support measures and while there are some gaps for the most part respondents had taken advantage of the various schemes. There is understandable concern as to how long restrictions will stay in place and the impact this may have on some of the businesses. The government has now published roadmap out of lockdown however it could be some time yet before businesses are able to return to normal. Most respondents welcome offers of help and are interested in campaigns to raise awareness, such as, ‘Shop Local’ to encourage village residents to support local businesses.
Twyford Together in partnership with Twyford Parish Council, The Twyford Covid-19 Community Group and Wokingham Borough Council will be working to provide support to local businesses and help Twyford to re-open.
