Sun 27 Nov, Christmas Lights Switch-On

Where: Bell Corner

Twyford's Living Advent Calendar opens with the ever-popular Christmas lights switch-on at Bell Corner. Enjoy carol singing, drinks and nibbles and a display of festive drawings by Polehampton Junior school children. The tree has been donated this year by Treetop Landscapes and is powered by Parkers Estate Agents. Our special guests are Bob Pitts, Mayor of Wokingham Borough and the winners of Junior Twyford's Got Talent.

Where: London Road (from the crossroads to Jubilee Corner)

Sat 3 Dec, Twyford Studios' Christmas Fair

Where: United Reformed Church Hall
When: 10am-5pm
Admission: Free
A wonderful mix of innovative and affordable, handmade arts and crafts from talented local artists. Includes paintings, cards, prints, jewellery, glass, wood, ceramics, handmade soaps and more. Don't miss this unique Christmas shopping experience!

The schedule for Sunday includes Twyford 'Glee Club UK' at 2pm, Christmas tea at 4pm and carols around the trees at 4.30pm.

Fun, Christmas quiz for children aged 5-11. Everyone welcome. Prizes for all!

Weds 7 Dec, Music Made Fearless

Where: Bell Corner
When: 5-7pm
Admission: Collecting for Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Singing around the Christmas tree with Twyford's own talented musicians aged 7-18 led by Sabrina Findlay of Music Made Fearless. They will serenade you with festive favourites and chart hits.

Thurs 8 Dec, Guides Singing at the Station

Where: Twyford Station Forecourt
When: 6pm-7.30pm
The guides will be collecting donations for charity.

Fri 9 Dec, Carols at Waitrose

Where: Waitrose
When: 9.30am
Admission: Collection for Daisy's Dream
Polehampton Infant School will be serenading Twyford shoppers with their favourite carols and songs from their nativity plays. They will be collecting for Daisy’s Dream, a charity close to their hearts.

Sat 10 Dec, Father Christmas at The Duke

Sun 11 Dec, Twyford Comets' Charity Football Match

Where: Stanlake Meadow
When: 2pm kick-off (Please note, the game starts at 2pm and not 10.30am as previously advertised.)

The Twyford Comets wlll be battling it out on the pitch against Twyford and Ruscombe Cricket Club!

Meet Father Christmas at Costa! Admission includes a small hot drink, children's chocolate drink and present.

Weds 14 Dec, Christmas Networking Evening

Traditional carol service in the village centre.

When: 6pm
A traditional carol service in a beautiful ancient church based on the service at Kings College. Only 100 seats.

Mon 19 Dec, Christmas Family Carols

Family carol service followed by refreshments.

See into the past, present and future of Twyford's 'A' list celebrities as they light up the stage in a spoof chat show. Written by Sabrina Findlay and Vicki Shearing of Music Made Fearless.

Weds 21 Dec, Sax Bandits

The local all-saxophone community band play their debut gig and share the songs they have worked on this year - including a new Christmas medley!

Thurs 22 Dec, HaaHoos Decopatch

Where: HaaHoos
When: 2-6pm
Admission: £5 per decoration (Includes fruit squash and biscuits for the children).
Use fantastic patterned papers and glue to 'decopatch' a variety of Christmas decorations. Plus, you can take part in HaaHoos' Pottery Lottery (a tombola with a prize every go!)  in aid of Twyford Charities Together.

Fri 23 Dec, Christmas Panto at The Duke

Join us for a night of live entertainment and come dressed as your favourite panto character!

Christmas Eve, Crib Service

Where: St. Mary's Church
When: 3.30-4pm
A half-hour Christmas Eve service for all the family. Children are welcome to dress up and help bring the Christmas story alive. Come in good time to get a seat.

Christmas Eve, Carols For All

Where: St. Mary's Church
When: 7-8pm
An hour of traditional carols, readings, reflections and prayers by candlelight to celebrate the birth of Christ. A wonderful way to end Advent.
