Making Twyford a Dementia Friendly Village

TVP's Health and Wellbeing Group is leading an initiative to make Twyford a Dementia Friendly village. TVP, TimeFinders, Age Concern Twyford, Bridge House and Home Instead have all signed up to Wokingham Borough’s Dementia Action Alliance (DAA) and are members of the steering group.

What is the Dementia Action Alliance?

The Dementia Action Alliance aims to bring about a society-wide response to dementia. It encourages and supports communities and organisations across England to take practical actions which will enable people to live well with dementia and reduce the risk of costly crisis intervention. There are now 149 local Dementia Action Alliances across the UK and TVP is proud to be on the steering group for Wokingham Borough’s Local Action Alliance.
